Sludge Handling
Sludge treatment is the processes used to manage and dispose of sewage sludge produced during the wastewater treatment process. This processes focuses on reducing the sludge weight and volume to reduce transportation and disposal costs.
Manufacturers
Offers a variety of sludge handling packages that give you flexibility to choose the best equipment or system for improved process performance. They offer equipment from sludge thickening, dewatering, to drying.

Cambi's thermal hydrolysis processes (THP) exposes sewage sludge to high temperature and pressure which reduces the volume of biosolids for disposal, enhances biogas production, and many more. THP can be applied before, after, or as an intermediate step of anaerobic digestion.

Orege's SLG solution is a breakthrough technology that significantly optimizes the conditioning of sludge by modifying its physico-chemical and rheological properties.

Seepex's standard pumps are robust all-rounders that can be used to reliably pump on primary sludges or thickened sludges. The hopper wastewater pumps (optionally with screws and blades) can be used for discharge from thickeners or silos to convey dry masses onward without
disruptive bridging.

Vaughan pumps are especially useful in digesters. The Vaughan Scumbuster eliminates the effects of a scum blanket. The Vaughan Rotamix provides effective mixing within the digester. The Vaughan Chopper Pumps can also handle up to 18% solids in municipal sludge.

Penn Vally Pump (PVP) offers Double Disc Pumps that are ideal for transferring raw or thickened sludge. These pumps combine performance features of a positive displacement pump, with principles based on 'induced flow', that allows for superior versatility in fluid handling.
