Headworks are the facilities where raw sewage enters the wastewater treatment plant. This process reduces the level of large pollutants and non-organic material in the water. The headworks may consist of, but are not limited to, perforated or bar screens, grit removal systems, grinders, and various pumps.

Local Installations

OGG R-1 Scalping Facility

Vaughan supplied a chopper pump rated for 200 gpm. The pump is used to transfer raw sewage from the existing OGG pump station to the new water scalping facility.

FELE supplied a duplex pump station complete with pumps, control panel, fiberglass basin, valves, and a valve vault. The system is rated for 400 gpm and is used to pump wastewater from the scalping facility back to the existing OGG pump station.
